1. zone by phone person watch, this would be helpful for those people who want to block zone by phone log in-out messages, it would only show when people of their choosing logged in and out of zone by phone.
2. this has been discussed many many times, but when someone logs into the conference it should play their recorded name... because many people sit there and say nothing and it is annoying as hell
chris is working on the second suggestion brandi. but it would also be helpful to create a zone by phone ignore or block list. add user ID's to your box to prevent receiving messages from people you don't necessarily wanna hear from.
I thought about that feature after I posted this... I was just too lazy to edit... so good idea Cam...
it should be set up like VT is.. you can mute certain people...
Wow! Wouldn't it be great if we could mute certain people in real life face to face interactions. The zone is nothing at all like the real world.

1. person watch: I've thought about this but haven't come up with the best way of implementing it. This will probably require rewriting the existing person watch to some degree. If you add someone, you'll most likely get a notification when they log into the website or the phone system, with only one possible notification per hour.
2. conferences and names: We use the Asterisk MeetMe application for our conference rooms, and so are bound by its limitations. It might be possible to play names when someone joins, but I'm not entirely sure. If it is I want to pull the names from existing recordings rather than making you record your name every time you enter a conference.
3. ignore: This will be coming relatively soon, and will be an additional ignore option.
4. muting people: This is not technically possible given the conferencing application that we're using. My guess is that it isn't included as a feature in any conferencing application, and that it would make conversations very difficult.
Chris you ahve a valid point on the 4th one there... I guess you are right... catching bits and pieces of the convo can be confusing... boring... I guess if you do nto like the person just do not acknowledge them lol!
how about possibly having a list of users with zone by phone that can get voice mail somewhere in the main menu...is that possible?
But I expect that would be a bit of a pain to navigate. As for Asterisk MeetMe, I expect the only way this is going to work is to do prerecorded names, unless he wants to edit the source...though again, I'm not a programmer, and I'm basically reading between the lines of what Chris just said.
yeah, i wouldn't want to record my name every time i enter a conference, that sucks. i know of a conference with pre recorded names, which can be useful. if there's someone you don't like around, leave or move to another conference.
well, I see that now we can ignore people from sending us voice mail, so I guess that's something. Not to sure I'd like to be person watched though. I mean, what if the person you don't want to talk to puts you on person watch for zone confrencing?
You can always ignore their personwatch requests, even if you aren't premium.
I'll probably look at the meetme source and see how they play the join and leave sounds. I may be able to adapt that somehow.
